Spacefather Ent: “July Madness” with Masta Edge of Soul and Special Guest Marian Marie
On June 6th, 2018, at Catalina Jazz Club, Verdell Adams hosted “July Madness” with R&B singer Marian Marie and Masta Edge of Soul. The evening was filled with soul music and these two dynamic performers played to a sold out house. The grooves lasted for two solid hours and Masta and Marian brought it that evening.
Masta Edwards is an acclaimed vocalist, bandleader, songwriter, and teacher and is an advocate of American music history and culture. He has performed with hundreds of musicians in his career, which spans more than four decades. He has worked with Don Covay and David Foster, shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, LTD, Al Jarreau, Seal, and Bobby Brown, just to name a few. Over the years, Masta Edwards performed on several recordings.
Marian’s lineup included: Christopher Wilson (KEYS), Sam Fullerton (SAX), Chris Black (BASS), KC Tomkins (DRUMS).
“Marian Marie is an unabashed adult soul singer. From an artistic standpoint, it helps that Marie has a fully mature voice and can handle slow, mid-tempo and fast songs with ease.
